Sorry but I could not find a .DOC file for it. I do not have a color monitor but I have used it with my mono. monitor and I recall that it did work. I uploaded it to the RAINBOW files area (A38). Hope it does the trick for you. Kermit now has the ability to read plain ASCII files, and it has a powerful script capability that can be used for automatic operation. Turbo Pascal on the Rainbow is pretty easy to operate and is very efficient. Learning the Pascal language is something else, however; but there are numerous commercial books dedicated to this subject. Should you decide to take the Pascal route, there are several files on this BBS that may be of help to you: PASLIBS.ZIP, THELP.ZIP, and TURBUTIL.ZIP, for example. - --- msged 1.99L MSC * Origin: Silver Bullet - Silver Spring, Md. - 301-622-2247 (1:109/417) ------------------------------ Date: 11-09-90 (07:43) To: HOWARD HALL Subject: RE: TRANSFER OF LONG FILE From: DAVID MAROUN > George - I found that I could readily XFER long files both > ways by using DECON to break the files into small portions > (your option on size of portions), move the smaller parts > to single-sided disks, then reassemble at the other end Other utilities for transferring big files between any two machines, either of which may be a Rainbow: The Bear's back-up and restore utilities (look for BBACKRES.ZIP or .ARC or .LZH); the back-up and restore utilities distributed with MS-DOS 3.1 if you have that operating system (the Philips versions will run under Rainbow MS-DOS 2.11), or my XTRAC and XTRACC utilities on this board. - --- Opus-CBCS 1.12 * Origin: Glacier Peak Rainbow, Bellevue, WA - 206/644-8431 (1:343/3.0) ------------------------------ Date: 11-09-90 (07:48) To: HOWARD HALL Subject: RE: SEDT From: DAVID MAROUN The various key definition files are about identical in content differing only in the name [at least for SEDT up to version 3.3 (248)]. Mercedes-Benz for one uses VAXes for their parts control and other functions, and they have Rainbows as well as VTs.
