At the bit level it seems like async with 1 start, 1 stop, and 8 data bits (no parity). Is this correct? What about the physical level? is it RS 232, 422, something else? The reason I am asking is that I just checked out a MIDI card and it is ~$80 and if I can used one of my serial ports for the same purpose I could save the $80. thanks bob beach ultra network technologies bob@ultra.com
