BUT! I would like to order motherboard, drives, | monitor, etc. *RIGHT FROM THE MANUFACTURERS* to get it *CHEAP* No problem, get a copy of _Computer Retailer News_ and there are dozens of ads for just what you want. Many manufacturers will sell in lots as small as 20 pieces to anyone with a tax number. You will not get wholesale prices in retail quantities. You can search the magazines and find places who will sell at discounts, but most expect to sell to people who don't come back with questions. You may also find that there are places which will sell you a complete system for less than you would pay for the parts. Think about it. I've been building systems since S100 days in the 70's, and there's so little margin in the bottom end of the market that it's hardly worth it to build a system anymore unless you get a bunch of parts at one time price from flea markets and such. -- bill davidsen - davidsen@sixhub.uucp (uunet!crdgw1!sixhub!davidsen) sysop *IX BBS and Public Access UNIX moderator of comp.binaries.ibm.pc and 80386 mailing list "Stupidity, like virtue, is its own reward" -me
