I'm running short of real estate & am contemplating buying another ESDI drive. A local shop will sell me a Micropolis half-height 160MB drive (19ms) for about $960 & a Microscience 160MB (28ms) ESDI drive for about $800. I wonder if the 20% difference in porces buys any aspect of quality, rather than just response time (28 vs 19 ms). Does anyone out there have especially good or bad experience w/HH ESDI drives from these manufacturers (or NEC)? Thanks Rob Kling Information & Computer Sci UC-Irvine
