It will be used primarily at home for some trivial DTP and word processing and some minor bookkeeping for a business. The deal i am being offer through the university bookstore is: Zenith Model 40 386SX at 16MHz 2 MB RAM "expandable to 16MB" 40 MB HD (28ms) 1 3.5 HD drive Zenith FTM 14" monitor VGA comp Mouse 101-key keyboard Questions: 1) Can memory be added to the motherboard, or is the motherboard fully populated? If it is full, can I replace the chips on it with higher capacity memory chips? 2) Anybody with experience with their FTM (Flat Technology Monitor)? It almost has a concave look to it and their literature they have as promo material raves about it. -- He who will not reason, is a bigot; he who cannot is a fool; and he who dares not is a slave. --- Sir William Drummond Michael Lanham mjlanham@eos.ncsu.edu & jumper@.catt.ncsu.edu
