Using the programmable chip select pins are a god-send for embedded systems where the 332 was meant to be used. I would imagine that if you were to not use any of the chip selects so that the original functions were available (all those extra address lines and bus control signals) then you could use one of the available MMU chips out now. Why would you want to? Not using the chip selects is like cutting off your legs so you can enter a wheelchair race.
