Dove modems are a brand (from Dove Inc.) which can have fax/modem capability. Basically, they're 2400 baud modems, with 9600 baud send/receive fax abilities. Comes with a bunch o' INITs that let you do all of this in the background; you fax by Chooser-ing the Dovefax as your printer, from any program. (They also work with IBMs, I'm told.) $279 from MacWarehouse (free plug). I don't have one, but for more information, you can find someone who uses America OnLine; Dove maintains a bulletin board listing there. -- Jeff Porten, Annenberg School for Communication, UPenn (sjporte@asc.upenn.edu)
