I had a similar problem with my CDSC a few weeks ago. It simply quit reading data disks, but played sound nicely. I cleaned the mechanism with a head cleaner, but it didn't resolve the situation. Then I started pulling inits out of the system folder. Removing DosMounter restored the use of my CDROM. What's even more interesting is that I later dropped DosMounter back into the system and things run fine. My theory on looking at system software was that the player read audio CDs fine. So it was probably some piece of software that was keeping it from working. At least it solved my problem! Jack Brindle
