I've been posting this question everywhere I could, in case no one noticed 8^) I got one reply from another Usenet reader, twl@cs.brown.edu (Ted "Theodore" W. Leung) who said he tried it in a store where it worked and the Macsbug was 6.2b1. Well, I dug up a copy here in the silicon valley of 6.2b1, and he is right! When Macsbug 6.2b1 is loaded the command-poweron key breaks instantly to the debugger. Why couldn't readers of this newsgroup from Apple answer the question? Are they ALL off somewhere else right now? Maybe, they've been silent lately. Now all you IIsi owners have to chase down a copy of this version which isn't (I know) easy to find. All's well that ends well (for me; I wish you people not in this valley good luck in finding a copy of 6.2b1, it was hard enough here, and I *thought* I had good contacts!). jim -- __ __ / o / Jim Budler jimb@silvlis.com | Proud / / /\/\ /__ Silvar-Lisco, Inc. +1.408.991.6115 | MacIIsi /__/ / / / /__/ 703 E.
