(maybe it's INIT14) in the system during the boot process. Since INIT's must exist within the systems Heap, you would have to reserve room for them to load later anyway and thus not gain anything. I would suggest you check out a INIT/cdev control program (like INIT/cdev 3.0), it allows you to pick and choose which INIT's and cdev's load and which don't during any boot. As to your second query, I'm not sure exactly what you're getting at. Do you want a DA that would allow you to run a second "normal" program under Finder? I certainly haven't heard of anything that does that (and since the DA exists inside the first applications heap, I'm not sure it could...)
