I believe the components quality is the same between the monitors, but it DOES matter which monitor you buy. Thhe resolution is a BIG difference. A difference you may or may not be attuned to, but can end up giving you a head-ache in the end. It's all in how the components are put together, and which ones they use. I wouldn't have anything against buying a KMART brand monitor if, when looking at the resolution, scan lines, and other factors, it was comparable to another monitor that I didn't get head-aches while using. Usually, however, the cheaper the monitor, the less design work, and less expensive parts went into building it. Rich
