For that matter, I've typeset magazine issues with LaTeX. It was a very pleasant experience. That being said, I wouldn't use TeX for a visual design task (like laying out an ad or putting together a complex brochure). However, for things that involve non-trivial amounts of text, I keep coming back to it.
