Keywords: TeX, index Message-ID: <1990Nov16.224610.12662@hoss.unl.edu> Date: 16 Nov 90 22:46:10 GMT Sender: news@hoss.unl.edu (Network News Administer) Distribution: comp Organization: University of Nebraska, Computing Resource Center Lines: 12 What software is available for generating indices in TeX? I would like to have my text peppered with TeX commands of the form: \indexput{canine} -- to create an index entry "canine" \indexputsub{woof}{canine} -- to create a "subindex" entry woof under "canine". The "hard" part is to write a sorting routine. I realize that this is not all that hard, but perhaps someone has already done it.
