I have an XT.. Try the MKS toolkit (now version 3.1 or thereabouts). They work great, mimic Unix even down to running init, reading the inittab (to load TSR programs &c), runs rc through a shell & respawn a getty on the screen. You can _even_ tel DOS that the console is a com port & run remote (single tasking only). The only (minor) gripe that I have is with the Korn shell edit function -- ^P recalls the last line, and in Unix the cursor is left at the end of the line, in MKS at the start. Apart from that it seems _very_ faithful (and is about the only way to make MS-DOS habitable :-)). Get it from Programmer's Paradise, etc, for about US $ 150.00 -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Paul Nash Flagship Wide Area Networks (Pty) Ltd paul@frcs.UUCP ...!ddsw1!proxima!frcs!paul
