That company re-installed the SunOS and all of the old contents gone forever. When they returned the machine to me, I booted from my network the SparcStation and I did these steps: # newfs /dev/rsd0a # mount /dev/sd0a /mnt # rrestore rbf 512 cca:/dev/nrst9 Then I tried to boot the machine but I got an error like "Error accessing data". I think that the bootblock or the /boot program were incorrect, then I made # /usr/mdec/installboot /boot bootsd /dev/rsd0a and I got an error like "bootfile /boot not on device /dev/sd0a" My intention is to re-create the old state on my Sparc Does anybody know how to do it? -------------------------------------------- Enrique sanchez Lara Universidad de las Americas, Puebla, Mexico. internet: esanchez@udlapvms.pue.udlap.mx root@cca.pue.udlap.mx news@cca.pue.udlap.mx root@lara.pue.udlap.mx --------------------------------------------
