Taken somewhat out of context, but "for the benefit of everyone" is fitting. And it's good news. Down with proprietary buses. MCA doesn't gain you much (if anything), except a higher price and fewer compatible boards and software. There are some theoretical advantages, but they don't pan out, at least not with the available hardware and software.
