Message-ID: <1990Nov12.022111.23449@athena.mit.edu> Date: 12 Nov 90 02:21:11 GMT Sender: daemon@athena.mit.edu (Mr Background) Organization: Massachusetts Institute of Technology Lines: 16 I just browsed through the FAQ; it says that IBM PC LAN is "known to work with Windows 3.0". Well, I have tried this, and on one occassion even talked to someone at Microsoft (after waiting 1 hr on the phone), and I was never able to get it to work. So, is there anyone out there who actually has Windows 3.0 running on an IBM PC Lan v 1.1 and later? If so, can you email me your server setup and client setup? Specifically, I want to run Windows 3.0 on the machine configured as the server. What happens is that as soon any of the client accesses the server, the server hangs; for example, doing a dir on a hard drive on the server while the server is running Win3 will hang the server. Thanks for any help!! Milan .
