Is X11R4 up to patchlevel 18 expected to compile with an ansi-C compiler
and posix libraries?

I'm trying to compile on a convex C1. While I can get almost everything to 
work if I use the -pcc flag on the compiler (behave like pcc) I get lots 
of errors if I try and compile in ansi mode. Is this what you would expect?
