If a reader with macros had a user setable flag, the could the gold key set the flag and then a macro assigned to each key modified by the gold key have a macro associated with it that would test the flag? I think the VP screen reader had a couple of flags, but its if statements were hard to use, if there weren't bugs in them-- I played with them a little a couple of years ago but don't remember the results of my experiments except that I didn't continue them. JAWS 2 has macros; does it have flags? Gary Campbell
