The first is called SIGN FRIENDS written in BASIC by Fran O'Goram who also reads this conference. It is set up to view and test individual signs, not sentences. There are two programs which work with finger spelling rather than signing words. ASL-TRAN.ZIP translates words into ASL finger spelling and LSIGN1.ZIP teaches ASL finger spelling. All three programs are available for downloading or file request from the Handicap News BBS (1-203-337-1607, 300/1200/2400 baud, 1:141/420 on Fidonet). Sign Friends is available on the SIMTEL20 archives as well as on WUARCHIVE.WUSTL.EDU for anonymous ftp. However, the archives has version SIGN37, not the latest version SIGN39. I will be sending SIGN39 to the archives in the next day or so. I will also send ASL-TRAN and LSIGN1 to the archives at the same time.
