and indeed, it did, once the reader goes back and scans for it among the
other header lines.  Not only that, but it was 29 characters long!  Wow,
about one tenth the size of the signature.

Yup, that's the way news should be.  Put all the content in the header
and none in the body of the message.

Where did this "subject says it all" stupidity get started?
