Why the Goldmund Ref is so controversial:

        the servo mechanism on the arm has a tendency to screw up
consistently and lift up off a record while playing.  the lp-12 is
superior since music reproduction is superior to lack of music
reproduction.

        the darned thing costs a fortune and a half.  hence, the
affordable lp-12 is superior as having music is superior to aspiring
to have music.
