But here are 2 kinds discussed: 1) It is a promise in the bible that anyone who wants to go all the way with Jesus Christ will be persecuted. PERSECUTION is suffering. 2) During Jesus's walk on the earth, he healed many who were opressed by the devil. The diseases came from Satan. DISEASE is also suffering. Now, which kind of suffering was Jesus busy getting rid of AND which kind did he promise to his followers? Jesus promised the persection and was HEALING the sufferers of diseases. To die because of persecution is one thing, but dying of disease is another. The lie of Satan is that if terminal illness strikes, then it must be God's will.Christians end up blaming God when it was Satan. Of course, sinning can cause sickness too. But sinning is also being out of God's will by giving a foothold to Satan. Sinning can block the healing of a Christian. Once the Christian gets right with God he can cast off the disease in the Name of Jesus. In Jesus' Name Allen S. Cheung (Jesus is Lord)
