Apparently some juvenile delinquents are confused about the distinction
between 'hacking' (the subject of this newsgroup), 'cracking' (criminal
hacking, obviously), and 'phracking' (cracking the phone system).  Just
to assuage your obvious confusion, this newsgroup is "alt.hackers" and
postings which embody criminal intent are not only inappropriate to the
subject matter but are actually unwelcome.

However, I found your "beige.box" article very amusing, especially in
the technical portion which amounted to "attach some alligator clips
to any telephone and pretend it's a lineman's set".
