I am looking for source of benchmarks that involve multi-precision
arithmetic.  i.e.  BIG NUMBERS.  Does anyone have such a benchmark set
or know where one might be available?  Also, I am not quite sure I know
what a BIG NUMBER is.  Does anyone out there perform calculations with 
large numbers?  Can someone give me an idea what applications require
such BIG NUMBERS and just how BIG are they?

I have been told that there is a package called BIGNUM.  If anyone
has any information concerning an anonymous ftp site or any other
