The FasTape Version 4.xx Software User Manual says it works only for
DOS 2.x and 3.x.
   
   Does anyone out there have other software that  will  work  with  this
   puppy?   I'd  like  to  write tar format tapes, but just being able to
   write in a format where I can get the data back off would be nice!
This same tape works with the built-in factory tape drivers on SCO XENIX,
but I dont think this is the solution you are asking for.  It also works
with CTAR, under XENIX.
   
   Does anyone have the phone number of Archive? It's not in my manuals.

Yes, they merged with Maynard Electronics.  Try calling them at 407-263-3500.
Their tech support person was very helpful when I called.  I believe there
is some charge for the backup software, but it also sounds like you have
a fairly recent version.
