Yes, I HAVE tested this on other computers as well (I own a TRIGEM-386VE, and I have tested it on both a LASER-286 and an OLIVETTI-286 machine). So I know it is safe (for 3M I am very sure, some KODAK disks gave me a hard time on the OLIVETTI, allthough I could still read and write them).
