I can cu from one (mc3) to the other (mccc) but not vice versa. Here's the error log when I try the latter: conn(mc3) Device Type STARLAN wanted ProtoStr = eg Internal caller type TLIS filelock: ok tlicall: bound to ATT.TLI t_connect to addr "3" <<<<<=== should say "mc3", not "3" t_connect: System error tlicall: system error: Invalid argument getto ret -1 Call Failed: DIAL FAILED Connect failed: DIAL FAILED call cleanup(1) call _mode(0) I have "mc3" in /usr/lib/uucp/Systems but I have no idea where else to look for it (assuming it has been corrupted in some file). I've checked every text file in /usr/net, /usr/nserve, and/usr/slan. Maybe a file is missing??? Thanks. Hope you had a happy holiday. Pete -- Prof. Peter J.
