For instance, I want the time displayed in every buffer I create, and each buffer created as a result of the command line. I assume that the solution to this will go in my .emacs file. Also, is there a generic way to do this? In other words, what if I want to execute some other commands automatically. Some things I might want to do would be create a dired window every time I run emacs, or run mail automatically in a window each time I run emacs, etc. Thanks!
