Perkins) Distribution: usa Organization: Harvard University, Cambridge MA Lines: 8 It was stated that the "real" standard for broadcast quality requires 8-12 bits per color...unless I misunderstand what was meant, the NeXTdimension could in theory meet this (with 8 bits per color) as long as it was allowed to output only a few minutes at a time (some compression without loss is still possible even with full color)... or with even better frame-at-a-time VCRs on their way, it could do full resolution on all frames.
