These are Lotus, Apple, Xerox and Ashton-Tate. Those other than Apple are mentioned less often on GNU mailing lists because they don't make computer systems to which GNU software might be ported. I wouldn't give any of them free consulting. It was just chance that the recent request came from Apple and not one of the others. Some other people ask, why not boycott Unisys or other software patent holders. The reason is that there are too many of them to boycott, even though some of them surely deserve it. I've spoken about this before, so in the interest of brevity I won't go into detail.
