Certainly many people have made this decision for immediate technical reasons. That is normal. However, this does not imply that they are incapable of taking account of other reasons to decide differently, such as to protect their freedom. These people are not robots. They can change their minds. Many people can put off short-term gratification for long-term reasons. Therefore, the logical thing for me to do is to call these reasons to their attention.
