Are there any 16 bit digital audio hardware and/or software systems
available for IBM PCs?  Ideally it would allow A/D sampling at CD and
DAT rates, have digital I/O to allow straight digital interfacing to
CD and DAT machines, and have software to allow graphical manipulation
of samples which could be stored and played from the hard drive.
I know of one for the MAC called Digidesign Sound Tools which looks
like an excellent package but would like to avoid the high cost of
buying a MAC II.
