I am _most_ interested in devices that allow for an 'un-modified' electric bass to be patched into a MIDI setup. By unmodified I mean that the strings on the instrument must still be at pitch (ie not ~4 equi-tuned strings) since I want this instrument to double as a 'normal' instrument (so I can still get the 'dry' sound as well). The _best_ solution whould be an add on device - an acceptable solution would be an instrument built to purpose. Please reply by e-mail, as I don't regularly follow this group. Thanks! :|| -- mark@siva -or- {ames!pacbell!sactoh0}||{ucbvax!ucdavis!csusac!unify}!siva!mark "It's a hearty instrument that blames its faults on its player."
