Now a problem has arisen when I try to use papif from the ru-cap distribution for printing from our suns to the apple-talk based laserwriters. I have a symlink for ps1 and ps2 (2 laserwriters on appletalk on our subnet) to papif. I have also done "mknod" for these 2 printers to create separate devices so that people can simultaneously print to them. My cap.printers look like the following: ps1=Lower Jet Writer~:LaserWriter@RCS ps2=Upper Jet Writer~:LaserWriter@RCS My atalk.local file is below: # Native EtherTalk using Experimental CAP enet-le0 RCS Where RCS is our AppleTalk zone... When I try to print something (text or ps file), it just sits in the print spool. "lpc stop, restart and start the printer" doesn't help either. Am I missing something very basic here? It's real urgent since people here want both Aufs service and printing from their suns and I have to keep switching between Columbia CAP (which we have been using so far for printing from suns) and ru-cap2. Thanks, Sandeep. (srvarma@zookeeper.cns.syr.edu) p.s: I am running SunOS 4.1 and my print device is SS-1.
