I run aufs and lwsrv on the servers and use the RUTGERS mod's, which gives me password security on mounting the servers disk and printing (using the -X flag). Things work fine except: 1. When I mount the servers disk from the mac (appleshare) the auth-file (net0.1node49) contains "doug^XP^C" instead of just "doug" (my username). Where is the crud after my username coming from? Other users on different macs, eg craig, kim,jr are ok. Unless I edit out the ^XP^C the -X (verification) flag on lwsrv stops me from printing. 2. When people print text files interspersed with graphs/graphics or graphics followed by a text file, the text is printed as a mirror image. (printer is a AST TurboLaser/PS) When the time gap between printing text and graphics is large this problem doesn't seem to occur. Has anybody encountered this behaviour? I'm using a laserprep (Appledict md 67 0) and I've run prepfix on it to make it usable. thanks, doug@wapsy.psy.uwa.oz
