We are using NCSA Telnet 2.2 to talk to Xenix boxes with Excelan's LAN WorkPlace package. I've noticed that when running NCSA Telnet I often get "telnet option 254 1" type messages. Further investigation in the Excelan manuals reveals that there is a "telnet command" iac n1 n2 ... where n1, n2 specifiy the decimal number of the command. The manual gives the example iac 254 1 as being the equivalent of telnet's DONT ECHO command. Could someone please post a list of these such numbers and what they mean in telnetese? Thank you in advance. Adrienne Byrd Network Computer Centre, Telecom Australia, WA ACSNET: adrienne@telecomwa.oz Internet: adrienne%telecomwa.oz@uunet.uu.net
