My boss recently tasked me with locating the *optimal* package that would
provide the following functionality to our customers on a dial-up basis:

                         - Telnet
                         - FTP
                         - Mail reader service (a la POP, PCMAIL, IMAP)
                         - News reader 

I realize that Telnet and FTP are no problem through dial-up; it is more of
a concern for the other two. We want to run this 'package' over either SLIP
or preferably a class 6 packet driver thus not neccesitating the use of a 
dedicated on-site server.

The customers machines are DOS machines, which precludes a wide variety of
choices.

If there is anyone out there who has had to solve a similar problem
or you think you have the answer (even if you sell the answer) please drop
me a note. Any help would be greatly appreciated (I should warn you that I
am rather new to networking, thus I may appear to be somewhat lacking in 
brain cells).
