I teach a Software Engineering course at the University of
Massachusetts at Amherst.  I am interested in using tools to assist
the students in the design, development, and testing of their
projects.  I am most interested in tools that are cheap/free, as
resources are limited.  The tools should be compatible with one of the
following systems (listed in order of preference):  VMS, Ultrix,
Macintosh, PC.  Any suggestions?
