Lines: 15 I've often seen a 68040 CPU slot mentioned in discussions of the AMIGA A3000. Can anyone tell me exactly how this is used ? Will the 68040 take over the role of the 68030 or will they somehow work in parallel ? If used in parallel, would the OS say be able to have two tasks running on the two different processors simultaneously ? How about memory access - if there's the 68030, 68040 and the blitter all sharing the bus will it affect performance drastically ? Anyone who can supply any info please mail me and I'll post a summary to the net. Or post straight to csa if you prefer. Thanx, // Mike \X/
