I've used both the Adaptec 4070a and Omti (forgot number, but it'd the functionally equivalent unit to the 4070a) with a C-Ltd non-Kronos controller under SCSIDos 3.0. Both worked well, with the OMTI being quite a bit faster, and providing a bit more "SCSI compatibility" in that it will at least identify itself. Both SCSI adaptors were interfaced to Okidata OD-540 RLL approved drives and worked fine. I even ran my BBS on the Adaptec/Oki system for about a year (until the drive got too small). Then I put both drives and adaptors on my son's A500 and they worked without problem. The Adaptec 4070/Oki combination is now in use on our club BBS and is working fine on an A2000 (KS1.2/WB1.3) with a Supra controller. --- Cal // Cal Jones - Internet: \X/ BBS: 904-243-6219 1200-9600HST 340Meg, all Amiga Single Tasking? *JUST SAY NO!!!*
