Here at Goddard, we had a pretty free News server -- until some drek about
alt.sex hit the press and some of the management types who almost never use the
network discovered that "their" network was being used to carry all kinds of
"pornography". 

We never wanted to carry alt.sex.pictures (we DON'T have that kind of disk
space, and they're all available via Anon FTP), but -- after a long, noisy,
and draining battle, ended up wiping alt.sex and a couple of other groups
from our feeds -- we even had to kill "junk" in case some evil beast at a
terminal learned how to pull the censored material from it!
