I'm deep into Captive and so far as I've seen, it comes closest to the DM style of game. The only things missing so far are the puzzles and riddles needed to get through sections of DM, but I'm only finished the 5th level. It certainly has the atmosphere and ease of play. Lots of levers to pull, doors to open, etc. You also have to decide how to distribute your experience points. If I were to rate the DM style games I've played, it would be: DungeonMaster 10 (still) Chaos Strikes Back 9 (more dungeon, fewer riddles) Captive (so far) 9 Bloodwych 8 (not bad, but the sreen's too small) Xenomorph 7 (mainly mapping, hard to use interface) I also tried BSS Jane Seymour, which seemed like a good idea. Unfortunately, I could never get a copy that allowed me to continue past the first level. I haven't seen Corporation, other than ads, but it too looks interesting. Other games out now like The Immortal and Cadaver are not really DungeonMaster style games. I tried both in the store, but I'm not a fan of joystick interfaces, although the graphics in both are great. -- Bob Deskin Cognos Incorporated (613) 738-1338 ext 5003 P.O.
