Keith,

    I just recently purchased a DJ500, and the only difference that I can see
from the original is a little bit better letter quality and the ability to
add font cartridges.  The speed is a little faster, and somewhat more
quieter.  If you can get a good price get the 500.  I got mine for 549.00
and it was well worth it.  One more thing, I think that the 500 does
landscaping while the plus doesn't.
