Summary: Is this the power supply? Keywords: Power LED, flicker, power supply Message-ID: <1990Nov21.011024.16904@monu6.cc.monash.edu.au> Date: 21 Nov 90 01:10:24 GMT Organization: Department of Funny Walks, Monash Uni Lines: 21 I have a small problem concerning my A500... The other day I was listening to some samples, so I decided to turn off the audio filter (and therefore the power led), when I noticed that the power LED flickered randomly. I know I _do_ have a flakey power supply (the machine will occasionally reboot when you least expect it), but this seems (to me anyway) to be unrelated. This happens mainly when there is some sort of I/O going on...disk, audio, keyboard, but only under AmigaDOS (ie, not when something takes over the machine). I'll check that there are no loose solder joints on the motherboard and/or keyboard, but since this problem only surfaces under AmigaDOS, I'm not opstimistic that this is the cause of the problem. (Hmm...this is beginning to sound expensive :-( Paula perhaps?) Any ideas?? -- /// ^^^^^ __ /// (o o) Didn't 25 years of Doctor \\\/// Simon Cocking, ^ Who teach you not to trust \XX/ vac159g@monu6.cc.monash.edu.au `-' names like Intel & Zilog?
