However, I now have an application in this area that I would like some help in how to proceed. I need to do the following: a. digitize sounds (sound effects) off of either sound or video tape. b. load the digitized sound samples into RAM; and be able to c. play them back on cue in reponse to a serial (RS232C) input signal generated by a Silicon Graphics Iris 4D workstation. How would I go about doing this and what would be the minimum equipment configuration necessary for this? I assume that I would start be addressing item (a) with something like "Perfect Sound". Also, does anyone know of an already developed package that would meet the above requirements? Thanks in advance for your responses.
