Spectre up to version 2.65C was only able to deal with the earlier Mac hard disk scheme. This was changed, oh, around System 6's release, to a new one Spectre did not understand. This^? is why you are unable to read a Mac formatted syquest read under Spectre. Spectre 3.0 fixes this problem (and many other minor bugs like this). It recognizes both Apple HD schemes. The MegaTalk board that's close will also allow direct Mac SCSI access, DB-25 connector and all. Spectre 3.0 is in final, final beta test. It's down to piddly little bugs that we want to get out of it before we ship. The newsletter is done to announce it and will be mailed shortly. Sorry for the late reply; Comdex prep and Comdex interfered a lot. -- thanks, Dave / Gadgets by Small I haven't thought of a clever saying for down here yet
