Here are some popular "modern" word processors that many folks are using on the venerable C64. Note that many WP's come with lots of extras these days. Some of the stuff you see in expensive PC packages (like spell checkers, disk utilities, multiple fonts, etc.) is showing up in the latest versions of the better programs, yet the cost is still usually under $50. 1. geoWrite (a part of the GEOS package and my personal favorite) v2.0 has a street price of around $45. Not the fastest, but one of the best! 2. Paperclip III (street price $35-$40) is there a vIV? 3. Fontmaster II by Xetec ($35-$45) mutiple fonts, etc. 4. Word Writer 5 by Timeworks ($25-$30) Another to consider is the time proven Speedscript by the COMPUTE! people. Anyone know the current status of this package? Does it now have a spell checker, etc?
