I don't know, why rlogin/rsh doesn't work, but here is a Workaround for csh, that works for me. Just put the command into the background, and get it to foreground. rsh machine & fg %rsh Limitations: The fg command will only work, if no other rsh is active in the jobs list. May be, someone knows, why this works and will find the bug. Thinking about the difference to a simple rsh-command, it must be a signal-handling or filedescriptor (select ?) problem.
