Message-ID: <1990Nov21.005921.3587@texrex.uucp> Date: 21 Nov 90 00:59:21 GMT Followup-To: poster Lines: 27 We have 3 microvax 3800's running Ultrix 3.1, let's call them A, B, And C. I am able to successfully use A and B to ftp data back and forth. There are 4 combinations, all of which work fine 1) A get from B 2) A put to B 3) B get from A 4) B put to A All 3 mvaxes are set up almost identical. The only difference is that C is approx 300 miles away on a 56kbps line. Telnet's to C are successful, ftp's from A or B to other non-microvax machines at the same location as C are also successful. I can use C ONLY IF the data being transferred is less than or equal to 1023 bytes. If I try to move a >= 1024 byte file, the connection hangs and won't let go. Any ideas of what could be wrong or where I could look? Thanks -- Rex Fowler UUCP: egsner!texrex!rmfowler
